Organisations

Midweek Bible Study and Prayer
The meeting is held every Wednesday as 7.45 pm under the leadership of the minister. It is open to all members of the congregation and begins with a time of praise prior to the exposition of God's word, followed by a time of prayer. Everyone is welcome.

Children's Church
During the morning service the children of primary school age leave for their own service led by willing workers from within the church who are dedicated to encouraging the children to give their lives to Christ.

Adult Christian Education programme
This Sunday morning programme (10.15 am) provides an opportunity to grow in the knowledge of the Bible and God's will and purpose for our lives. Topical issues are examined in the light of the Scriptures, and through videos, teaching and discussion, God's word is applied to modern living.

Sunday School
There are three departments within the Sunday School: Beginners, Primary and Senior. Each endeavours to teach the pupils the word of God and to lead them to a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. The Sunday School is held at 10.15 each Sunday.

Presbyterian Women's Association
The P.W.A. meet on the second Tuesday of each month and the ladies enjoy an interesting and varied programme. The members continue to support missionaries in prayer and finance.

Missionary Outreach
The Missionary Committee acknowledges with sincere thanks the continued prayerful and practical support of the congregation for the Mission. We have followed with interest the progress of our missionaries as outlined in their prayer letters.

Young Women's Guild
The Y.W.G. meet on the third Tuesday of each month in the Minor Hall. The aim of the Guild is to unite the members in friendship and service within the congregation and community, encouraging Christian living. A varied programme includes cookery, keep-fit, missionary focus and providing for the less fortunate.

The Church Choir
Choir practices are held on Tuesday evenings in the church at 8.00 pm. If you would like to join the choir, do speak to Mrs. Hawe or Mrs. McKay or any member of the choir and you will be made very welcome. The main objective of the choir is to lead the praise in God's house each Sunday and we count it a privilege to do so because God's word exhorts us to praise and magnify the Lord.

Youth Fellowship
The Y.F. meets in the Minor Hall on Sundays after the evening service. Refreshments follow a time of worship and teaching designed to help the young people come to know Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and to mature and grow spiritually. The programme includes guest speakers, videos on subjects of interest, visits to other Y.F.s and participation in events sponsored by the East Belfast Presbytery Youth Council.

Christian Endeavour Society
The C.E. is made up of two sections, Juniors and Young People, and meets on Friday evenings from 6.30 to 7.30 pm in the Upper and Lower School rooms respectively. The programme includes Monthly Consecration, Missionary, Memory Verses, Quizzes, Bible Study, Christian films etc. The C.E. motto is "For Christ and the Church". This is kept very much in mind by the leaders whose prayer is that these Juniors and Young People will come to know the Lord Jesus in a personal way and serve him in the Church or in whatever way he leads them.

Young People's Association
The Young People's Badminton Club continues to thrive on Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings with a very large membership. The young people compete regularly in the North Down League and have sponsored events to provide financial support for missionaries. New members would be made most welcome.

Youth Club
Led by enthusiastic leaders, the Youth Club meets in the church halls on Saturday nights from the end of September onwards. Young people of secondary school age and upwards are welcomed. Members enjoy varied activities including indoor football, hockey, volleyball, netball, pool, snooker and computer games. Each evening there is also a short epilogue. There are occasional outings to Ards Leisure Centre and other venues.

43rd Belfast Company Boys' Brigade
Our Boys' Brigade Company caters for boys from 5 years of age up to young men of 18. All three sections meet on a Thursday evening, Anchor Boys (P1 – P4) and Junior Section (P5 – P7) meet at 6:15pm and Company Section (Year 8 – Year 14) meets at 7:30pm.

In each of the sections there is a varied and progressive programme aimed at developing each boy in a spiritual, physical, social and educational way. Boys are encouraged to play an active part in wider church activities.

In addition to the weekly section meetings, our Company attends many of the events and competitions organized within the Belfast Battalion. A number of nights out are also organized during the year as well as weekends away and the Company Section’s annual week long summer camp.

Mixed Bowling Club
The club meets each Friday from 7.00 to 10.30 pm and an Open Tournament is held each month. A warm welcome is extended to everyone to come and enjoy the bowling and Christian fellowship.

Ladies' Fellowship
The ladies' Fellowship meets weeky on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am to provide women of the congregation with an opportunity for informal Bible study, prayer and fellowship. The meetings begin with coffee and time for a chat, followed by study and discussion of either a book of the Bible or a specific topic. The overall objective is to encourage one another in active Christian living.

Tuesday Afternoon Fellowship
Meeting twice a month, the Tuesday Afternoon Fellowship offers a bright hour of Christian fellowship for anyone free to attend. many retired folk enjoy the cheerful cup of tea, the happy hymn singing and the helpful Christian message. Do come and enjoy the blessing.

Annual General Meeting
The Church holds its A.G.M. usually in early February each year. A Church dinner preceeds the business meetings with a short musical programme to finish.

21+ Group
The 21+ Group meets on the first Friday of each month. Subjects covered are today's issues affecting young people and how the Christian message helps them address these issues.
